When Jordan Ryan meets a sexy redhead on the flight home he never dreamt after everything that had happened to him, that one person could make such a big difference to his life.
Aynslee Shaw can't take her eyes off of the hot guy in the seat next to her, then when he knocks her coffee over ruining her dress, she never dreamt that one simple accident would be the start of something between them.

I love Toni Aleo's Assassins series, and this novella is truly romantic. I loved both Jordan and Aynslee they were just perfect together. The love scenes were sensuous and tender. Jordan Ryan is the backup goalie for the Assassins hockey team, it's been two years since his accident and he has lost first place on the team, and spends his time on the bench. Since then he has withdrawn more and more into himself. But when he meets Aynslee she's a breath of fresh air, bringing and giving him renewed purpose. But to play again he must find another team, that means moving away. Just as he's getting to know Aynslee.

I'm not the biggest fan of novellas the length never quite seems to do the story justice. But I really enjoyed this, a well deserved five stars.

Fantastic book, great characters and a good storyline. I don't normally like novellas as I don't think the characters get long enough to develop and it feels a bit rushed. In this book the characters were well rounded and not 2 dimensional, however I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed.

The only negative I have with this book is that I wish it would have been longer, I feel that the characters deserved a full length book as their story needed more development. However, I won't normally read novellas and I only did because I want to read every book this author has written as I love her writing style and her characters are always brilliant. Toni Aleo writes books that are fast becoming my favourites and I read them more than once!

This book was great for a novella and it has whetted my appetite for Toni Aleo's next book Blue Lines which is coming out in September

I absolutely love this series including this short tale to tie up the loose end of the goalie that was sidelined by injury (Jordan) - which enabled the introduction of Tate the young replacement goalie in the previous books. I liked both hero and heroine - their story is quite believable, and I could understand the angst Jordan felt and his initial decision to walk away as his career was really in limbo at that point. I recommend the entire series on the basis of this novella, Empty Net and Trying to Score - all great reads.

I loved this book for what it was - a short sweet sexy book.

As always Toni Aleo mixes it up and includes things that go on in new relationships: nervousness, misunderstandings, need, happiness and presumptuousness on both parts which is good and not all gooey and loved up like some books.

I cannot wait for Blue Lines and greatly appreciated this little taster of her writing to keep me going.

I've not given it five stars, as though I loved it I do feel there was a little something missing; but I just can't put my finger on what it was.

Smoking hot & sexy, lots of chemistry and a touch of humour, what more could u ask 4 ;-). This was my first Toni Aleo book and I can't wait 2 read the other books in The Assassins Series, i would defiantly recommend. If u like these books u will love The Chinooks Series by Rachel Gibson, full of irresistible men ;-) enjoy I know I did!!!
