Thanks for this little jewel. It is so much pleasure to have a realistic polyamorous story without having it to be dark. And to have the subject of bullying broached this way is also a healthy point.

Genuinely loved this book - the story is well developed and I was routing for the quad almost instantly. Layla is a consummate professional, reliant on her goals, lists and routines to survive and thrive - at least in her career - but these hold her back and shut her down when it comes to her love life. Her sexy, neighbours are her firmly friend -zoned (only Josh realises it should be more, but even he doesn't want to admit it in case it ruins their friendship) UNTIL they come up with an agreement to help her learn how to flirt, date and build a relationship.
Ultimately it is not until they lose it, that all sides realise what they have and one of the sweetest, most epic apologies later that get that HEA!

The detail of each individual character, their strengths and flaws, and why they love Layla is beautifully built up, like a treasure trail. I wanted to throw my kindle at several parts! (That's how you know it's got you lol, violence!)

In addition, it is proper 18yrs+, the steam if full power and how they teach her what good sex then love making is just bloody blush inducing, gorgeousness, that is so NSFW.

Already stalking Lily Gold to find more of her work - if you like RH, with a healthy balance of steam and story then THIS is the author you've been looking for.

I loved this, I really really loved this. Firstly, the multiple POV was an essential and incredible choice for this story to be told in and it was done so well. The chapter lengths were short enough that I never forgot who's POV I was in and the whole reading experience was great. Each character had their own emotional journeys to go on and my heart ached for each of them.

I loved Layla as a fmc. She was very personable and relatable. It was like talking to a girl friend, she was sometimes annoying, had me laughing at times and I often wanted to wrap her in a hug and shake some sense into her. Her dedication to her work is admirable and her success is wonderful to see play out. We see her grow as a business owner and as a person as she navigates her business, relationships, trauma from her past and the pesky devil that is social media. The exploration of slut shaming and the harmful longterm affects of bullying (especially the type Layla suffered as a teen) was done very well and I was so happy to see her finally say fck it and stick it to 'em all. It happens to so many young people (girls especially) and it needs to stop and be taken seriously.

The author wasn't joking in the opening authors note when she said this was deceptively spicy 🥵 Less than 30% we get three in a bed and before 50% it's the whole gang 🔥 I sometimes found the wording used within those spicy scenes a little cringe but mostly, it was v v hot.

I immediately jumped at the chance to read the bonus chapters available when signing up for Lily Gold's newsletter and I'm so so glad I did. I don"t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasnt read that yet but Lavender is ✨️everything✨️ and I'm so happy with how Layla's love story has ended.

Faking with Benefits by Lily Gold was a lot of fun to read.

We meet Layla, a woman who’s strong and successful in her own right despite the odds and hardships she faced with high school bullies and her 3 hot and very different best friends / neighbours.
Zack, Josh and Luke were all delicious in their own right and each brought something unique to the table and their relationship.

Layla starts off useless at dating. She can’t seem to find a man who will stick past a second date.. so her best friends decide that they’ll help her and conduct an experiment, recording the results on their podcast weekly.
What can a former sports star, her former teacher, and a broody workaholic teach her?
Read this to find out. I loved everything about it. It made me laugh, it was hot and spicy, it was sweet. The transcripts and Twitter feeds after each podcast were so much fun and added a unique layer and insight to it too.
The book is written in all of their POVs too so we got all their insights.

It was great. The perfect fun contemporary RH romance. The bonus epilogue also tied off their stories perfectly. Highly recommended.

Faking with Benefits is a contemporary reverse harem romance about Layla, a lingerie designer, and her three neighbours. Set in the UK, the book tells the story of how Layla is struggling to catch up with her life plan, and how her neighbours Zack, ex rugby player, Luke, her old English teacher, and Josh, the guy who's been head over heels in love with her since she moved in. The guys host their own relationship advice podcast and they decide to help Layla become better at dating in order to get some new material for their show and for Layla to catch up to her plan.

This book has all the angst and steamy scenes. Zack is openly affectionate with Layla and isn't afraid to hide the fact that he's attracted to her. Luke knows he feels something, but also knows that it's completely inappropriate. Josh tries desperately to hide his feelings. This book goes to great lengths to show the difficulties of things such as losing a loved. one, being bullied, having your own business and so much more.

Overall, considering this was my first book by this author, I am rather impressed and will definitely recommend it to others.

One of the most funniest and brilliant reads ever!
You just knew as soon as you started reading that it was gonna be good and the humour was everything.
I have to say I have no idea how the author aka Lily Gold finished this book. I haven’t laughed like that in so long.
It’s a book to cheer anybody up, it’s also hot as hell with three yummy studs that have you wishing you was in the FMC aka Layla shoes. The characters have their own POVs so expect it back and to with Layla and the guys.
I’m a huge fan of RH books and most of them are usually in dark romance or fantasy. So for this kind I was pleasantly surprised. I mean just for the humour alone had me hooked but the added heat was wowsers!
Absolutely brilliant book. Love it and would highly recommend. It’s a book you need in your life, it’s one to keep that you can dive back in again and again.
