I just love Damon and Maddox, there is a real symbiosis between these two !! Maddox needs a fake boyfriend for his ex’s wedding because all his town thinks he’s gay, just a weekend with Damon makes him realise that he might be more attracted to guys than he thought (college doesn’t count 😂). Meanwhile, Damon lost his baseball career due to an injury, he agrees to help his sister’s friend but he will not fall for the straight guy, already been there done and got burned.
A beautiful story featuring affection, love, bi-awakening, jokes and which opens an amazing series !!!

Oh waouh ! Quelle tuerie ce livre !! Je me suis littéralement régalée !!
J'ai adoré les personnages principaux !
Maddox est excellent avec un humour corrosif, une vivacité d'esprit et une gentillesse à fleur de peau !!
Damon est un écorché vif, mais qui vit très bien son homosexualité et qui cherche à se retrouver professionnellement !
Ce duo est magique et parfait ! Je ne peux que conseiller de lire ce récit.
Une histoire qui se construit petit à petit pour les deux protagonistes et que se termine juste parfaitement. Pas de souffrance durant ce récit, de l'amitié et de l'amour, un cocktail juste parfait !

It was really sweet, I love it. Great banter! Those guys became friend before jumping into bed! It doesn't happen that much in books with this trope so yay! Maddox accept he's bi without much issue, so yay again! And both MC TALKED to each other, so yay! They have a great relationship, funny, sweet and hot. Their friend and family were great too! Can't wait for more.

Maddox left his rural hometown after pretending to friends and family that he was gay. He felt this was the only way he could break up with his girlfriend without too much heartbreak etc. He felt trapped, so he ran.

Couple years later. Now she’s getting married and wants him at the Wedding. His best friend suggests he bring a boyfriend to back up his story, but, problem is he doesn’t have one, because he is not gay. Eh.
Stacey, his best female friend suggests her brother, Damon, who is gay and will play the part perfectly. On condition that Maddox introduces Damon to his brother in law, top NHL Star Tommy Novak. Deal.

Talking with Damon and swapping stories Maddox finds out that he is bisexual. While playing the part of boyfriends they danced and kissed.

Maddox liked it, much. Damon did too but they not telling, yet.

Both these guys have had a bad experience in college which is impacting how they are in relationships now. They need to get over it, but separate revelations in both families causes more upset and angst.

Maddox and Damon have great chemistry between them if they’d just let it ignite.

I liked Damon a little more than Maddox in this story, the first in this series, and I see that a couple of the side characters are getting their own story which should be good from what I’ve read here about Noah and Matt. Looking forward to that.

I accidently stumbled across Eden Finley as an author when reading the joint author book with Saxon James The Puckboys. I'm so glad I did! Just so flippin funny. I love the sarcasm, witty banter, dry humour and snark in these / their stories. It's just fabulous! I'll be back for more. I'm a lifer!

Oh wow. What a book. I absolutely loved Eden Finley's Fake Boyfriend series, and this is definitely a great book to start it off.

I know the 'fake boyfriend' troupe has been written about by countless authors, but there is a reason for that - it makes for a really good story! And who better to write a fake boyfriend series than Eden Finley.

The main characters are really well written and you can't help but liking them both. There's some good steamy scenes, but equally enough storyline to keep you turning the pages. This was a one sitting book for me - I couldn't put it down.

Without giving too much away, Maddox is in need of a fake boyfriend (as he needs to head back home to face an ex), and Damon is the reluctant but ever so charming 'boyfriend' who goes home with him. There's an amazing amount of chemistry between the characters and the story builds well to them getting together (without it being slow).

If you're on the fence about this one, don't be - it's worth a read.

I absolutely loved this book! Maddox needs a ‘fake’ boyfriend for a plus one to his ex’s wedding. Enter his best friends brother, Damon. Easy. A couple of days spent faking a relationship and then they go their separate ways. Right? I won’t spoil the book for you but I highly recommend you read it. An exceptionally well written M/M romance with lots of laughs and plenty of steam. I am definitely going to read the second book in the series (can be read as standalones) - right now!
