I purchased this book to have a concise recap of the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge that is not as verbose as the Sybex and Shon Harris book. On that front the book delivers, but sadly it has a lot of errors ranging from simple typos to downright wrong facts. While the first one is obvious the second one is much harder to detect if you are not familiar with the material. Some things are obvious, like the answers to the sample questions not matching the information in the text given (happens for example with the questions on fibre optics and on remote connectivity, others are less obvious like the wrong information on ADSL lines. Also, if you compare this with the Sybex book it does not have the full 2018 CKB in it, so the title is somewhat misleading. This is merely a version of the authors 2016 "simple cissp" book that has been amended with some stuff from the 2018 CKB. However, for the money it's a good recap if you are aware of it's flaws. Don't use this exclusively to study for the test or you will fail, but that should go without saying.
Update: Several days later, i have compared this more thouroughly with the 8th Edition Sybex and other sources and have to say that more information than i noticed at first glance is downright factually wrong. I am therefor downgrading this from 3 stars to 2 and recommend looking elsewhere if you plan on learning for your CISSP. I feel like most of my time studying this was wasted and would have been better spent turning to one of the longer works.

The Best book you can get to start your path to getting a CISSP!Commenté aux États-Unis le 7 octobre 2019
Graet Book! I originally purchased a paperback copy of the CISSP Official study guide 8th edition, but it was super dry, and not reader friendly in my opinion, its better used as a reference for concepts you don't understand. This books lays it all out in 8 domains divided into 75 chapters. Don't be scared off by 75 chapters, they are short concise digestible chapters, with questions in the end to refine what you have read. I HIGHLY recommend this book for those seeking their CISSP certification, I passed at 100 Questions in a little over an hour, and credit this book with helping me start the process, and understanding some key concepts, without burning me out, or discouraging me. Thanks Phil!

Passed on my first try!Commenté aux États-Unis le 21 août 2020
I think this book really helped me pass the CISSP. I bought it and the audio book, which was great so I really could absorb the information. The book was concise but condense.
