À propos de l'auteur

Serenity Woods lives in the sub-tropical Northland of New Zealand with her wonderful husband and gorgeous teenage son. She writes fun, flirty, and sexy romances in a variety of romance sub-genres. She’s won several romance writing competitions and is a member of the Romance Writers of New Zealand. She would much rather immerse herself in reading or writing romance than do the dusting and ironing, which is why it’s not a great idea to pop round if you have any allergies. You can check out all her books at www.serenitywoodsromance.com.

Book 1: Friends Don’t Date (previously Treat with Caution) 4*
Tasha and Kole have been known each other for 11 years, since his younger sister and her became best friends aged 13 and they have teased and taunted each other for years. Tasha is annoyed with Kole, they both want to lease the same shop for their businesses but Kole got in first and refuses to budge. During the slanging match, which becomes personal, Tasha says that he would fall for her before she would ever fall for him, things escalate and a bet is born that whomever falls for the other (to be judged by their friends) in the next 8 days will win the shop. What follows is sex, sex and more sex.
Book 2: Friends Don’t Kiss (previously Treat Her Right) 5*
This is Maisy and Joss' story. Joss is mired in responsibilities; his sister is trying (rather unsuccessfully) to cope with her husband having walked out on her and their four young children; his mother is wheelchair bound and her carer, his father is suffering from dementia; and he is in a new doctor's job trying to build up his reputation and patient list. The last thing he needs, or can cope with is a relationship. Maisy can see no sign of the old, wicked and naughty Joss; he is dull, dull, dull. He needs to lighten up, have some fun and not worry so much. She takes each day as it comes and, despite struggling with depression, makes sure to surround herself with colour and sparkle and extracts as much humour and joy from the world around her as possible. They are old friends, complete opposites and nothing will ever come of a fling between them, or will it? I really found myself rooting for these two and cried buckets before the HFN ending.
Book 3: Friends Don’t Have a Fling (previously A Rare Treat) 5*
Stuart has suppressed his passionate nature for so long that it has become a straight jacket that he is unable to free himself from but over the course of one long weekend he is healed by the beautiful and very sexy Elle.
Book 4: Friends Don’t Share a Bed (previously Trick or Treat) 4*
Passion and Shame. Fox has the opportunity to make it big in his chosen career. Head chef at a prestigious hotel in Auckland, exposure that would make him famous, possibly in the future he might have his own TV show and all without the responsibility and hardships associated with running a business. The only trouble is his prospective employer likes his staff to be married or in a stable, long-term relationship. Fox, who works an 80 hour week and has little time for anything more than the occasional one-night stand, panics at this point in his interview and says he is engaged to Caitlyn (the only single female in his group of friends). His solution is to persuade Caitlyn to be his pretend fiancée at a weekend gathering, hopefully get the job and then weeks down the line say the relationship has broken down because Caitlyn is not prepared to move from the Northland. He and Cait have a volatile relationship and he doesn't find it as easy to persuade Cait as he had hoped and the weekend doesn't go as expected. A fun and sexy read.
Book 5: Friends Don’t Fall in Love (previously A Festive Treat) 5*
Recovering from grief and guilt. Skye Graham has been running from herself ever since her brother’s death. On a fleeting trip back home she meets search and rescue guy Owen Hall and his chocolate Labrador dog Mozart. Despite her strong attraction to him she is determined that they can have no more than a casual fling. That is not enough for Owen but rather than let her walk away, he hopes that being together may cause her to change her mind. Will that happen before time runs out and Skye returns to Europe? Loved this story - Skye is relatable, Owen is hot and Mozart is cute.
Book 6: Friends Don’t Have a One-Night Stand (previously No Way to Treat a Lady) 5*
A quick and sexy read. Hayley is divorced with four children under ten. When she attends a work conference which includes overnighting in a hotel what she is looking forward to is taking a bath without someone banging on the door five minutes after she got in. She is certainly not expecting to find a hot guy to have a one-night stand with but when that is exactly what does happen, she doesn’t expect more. Loved this novella.

I liked some stories more than others, but all were good and I have saved it into my favourites on my kindle to read again in a few months.

The Stories flowed perfectly through the series. Enough time was given to enable you to get to know the characters and become invested in them before you moved onto the next book.
I've never been to NZ, although I have always wanted to go as I have family there. So I was glad to visit, even through a book.
A perfect way to escape the dreaded lock down here in the UK!
