From the main Morelli siblings, Carter was the one I knew the less about. From his little appearances in past books it was enough to be a lot curious… what does he do? Why is he away from the family? Where does he fit?
While none of those questions where answered here, I was highly captivated by The Crash. It was a great prologue for this trilogy, it had suspense and for a novella it had a good amount of dirty hehe… I mean their thought and that almost last scene in the island, it was yummy.
Carter is pilot, professor and something else highly classified… he is actually a mystery one that I have every intention to find out. He has secret job to do and his cover is to transport a photographer, June, to another country for work. But things turned sour when suddenly their plane is crashing…
I can’t wait to read June’s and Carter’s full story! I’m so ready to delve deeper at him and mostly June. It seems they will be hot and heavy, with plenty of suspense which I love. I’m really hoping that June is not a doormat and can stand her ground and be a bad B! Let’s see what’s next…

June Porter is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer headed to Mauritania on a research assignment for the Biology Department at Oxford. While Carter Morelli, a biology professor at Oxford, has been commissioned by the department to pilot June’s plane and accompany her on the wildlife expedition to the deserts of Africa. But there's more to this buttoned-up professor than meets the eye so when they crash land on a remote island he may be the only thing that assure their survival.
The Crash is a great little teaser to the full-length series to come and it certainly whet my appetite. Can't wait to read Force of Nature.
