An amazing book by an inspirational and amazing womanCommenté aux États-Unis le 8 septembre 2016
This book will change your life; it will make you sit down and take stock of your inner and outer world and where you as an individual fit into the universe around you. The book is wise, deep, honest, profoundly positive and optimistic. At the same time it is entertaining and completely engaging. I got it for Christmas last year and have re-read it several times since. Every time I read it, the book reveals something new to me, a thought or an idea that escaped me the first time, a different meaning, a deeper conviction. The Common Good will be on my Christmas gift list for family and coworkers this year as I believe it is time for all of us to subscribe to the notion of personal responsibility, awareness, kindness and collaboration in the name of the common good. Awesome book. Absolutely happy to have it in my library. Thank you, Ms. Farrow for your talent and wisdom.
An uncommonly good bookCommenté aux États-Unis le 22 juillet 2017
This is an uncommonly good book that takes the reader on a spiritual journey and helps us to think about our daily experiences in a different light. There is a spiritual encounter to everything we do and every encounter we have, if we let ourselves view it through that lens. The stories that the author shares are powerful and transformative. It's the "ordinariness" of the stories and the people that make them so powerful. These are people who aren't in the daily headlines; just ordinary people whose lives are part of our own spiritual journey. I highly recommend this powerful book.
A Beautiful BookCommenté aux États-Unis le 3 septembre 2017
Very well written and truly inspiring. Farrow's story reminds me so much of what John F. Kennedy said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Ms. Farrow’s book draws from life experiences we can all relate to. Her down to earth, common sense approach to dealing with the challenges of today’s world are written in a way that we can all identify with and draw upon. I could not agree MORE that if we all look within ourselves, take on day and one situation at a time, draw upon our experiences as human beings, we can all be up to the challenges of today’s problems.
