Claimed by the Cyborgs (Interstellar Brides®: The Colony Book 9) (English Edition) Format Kindle
Prillon warrior Thomar Arcas is the royal heir to his ancestor’s legacy of dishonor, betrayal and death. When he was captured by the Hive, some on his home world cheered. Some sighed with relief. None shed a tear.
Thomar and his second, Varin, break free and destroy an enemy base, barely escaping with their lives. They transport to The Colony, the last refuge for contaminated males. Upon arrival they suffer in agony, their cyborg implants fighting for control of the powerful warriors.
Defeat is not in their blood. Not in their history. Not in their souls. Unable to sever their ties to the Hive integrations, they suffer relentless pain. Unwilling to force others to suffer, Thomar has chosen an honorable death over further disgrace; until they are matched to a human female from Earth who will do anything, and sacrifice anyone, to save them.

Arriving on the Colony, insisting on keeping the warriors chosen for her, Danika suddenly experiences trouble. Somehow, she is feeling and seeing things she has no experience of. The Hive, an unknown enemy and human females and babies. Then comes the summons to Prillion Prime which adds further confusion.
Another gripping tale with twists and turns, which I didn't want to finish. Wow!!!
There appears to be two additions, released a few weeks apart with virtually the same title. This version I pre-ordered, and received on release day. I stumbled across this version and accidentally bought it (on a different Kindle). It is slightly longer (191 vs 214), since I was unsure I read it, on my other Kindle. Usually it just redirects me to the version I have purchased. The length is in the text somewhere ... anyway, the difference in the title is (Interstellar Brides®: The Colony Book 9) and (Interstellar Brides® Program: The Colony Book 9). Not clear what the change is or why it was so substantive that I was charged 2x. The main storyline vital elements all there.
She is surprised, however, when the two warriors try to deny her. Thomar and Varin have been outcast amongst the Prillon, for actions taken centuries ago.
Operated on and augmented by the hive, their implants causing great pain, they are sure that Danika would be better with someone else.
Danika knows that they are perfect for her, however, and never let it be said that a human woman would give up that easily…
This was a very moving addition to the series. Danika herself is wounded by her own past, and it makes her perfect for members of the colony.
Both Thomar and Varin are typical Prillon, honourable and protective, qualities that make them perfect for Danika.
That being said, it is what we hear about the Hive in this book that really makes a difference; a significant piece of information and it is such a small part of the story!
As with every Interstellar Brides book, you can expect plenty of romance and sexy-times, along with some cameo appearances by heroines and heroes of previous books. The annoying Dr. Helion has to stick his oar in too, and of course the hive are active.
Although the romance itself is a standalone romance, this is part of the Interstellar Brides series, and needs to be read as part of it as some significant information is given in those earlier books that readers need for context and understanding.
An enjoyable sci-fi romance for genre fans, and an important addition to the Interstellar Brides for fans of the series.
