This story really touched my heart and my soul. It was about two people who not only had trust issues with family and the opposite sex but didn"t have faith or the experience to trust their own emotions. I am so happy that things worked out in the end. I am hoping to read about a wedding soon.

From the beginning, you can feel the electricity coursing in the connection between Jesse and Lana. There is this thick sexual tension that vibrates off the pages.

I was sucked into this book from page 1. Jesse, introduced in Burning for More (his brother Dylan's story), is trying to get out from his brothers' shadows and prove he can excel without the help of his brothers' titles. A former player, he can't explain instantly being drawn to Lana. Lana comes from a firefighting family and has always dated firemen - and she's been burned (pun intended!) too many times. She has a history and after her last heartbreak, promised her dad she was done with firemen. Enter Jesse. These 2 are drawn to each other. You can feel her emotion and conflict as she struggles with her feelings. There was a portion of the book where I get frustrated with Lana and the way she was treating Jesse, but I also understood her past played a part in her behavior. When Jesse and Lana finally get together, it is HOT!

"I knew I was playing with fire. I just hoped I didn't get burned this time."

The special gift Jesse gives Lana towards the end of the book - SWOON!

Author Kaye Kennedy delivers another wonderful story. After reading Burning for More, I was looking forward to this book and it didn't disappoint. I LOVE the Hogan family and their unique personalities - it was interesting to get a little more insight into each of the brothers. Looking forward to Ryan's story after that intriguing epilogue!

I will leave with one of my favorite quotes from the book:

"They remind us to find balance between our inner and outer worlds, and not to fight the current, but to move with it. They also represent personal strength and encourage us to use it with conviction."

Burning for This: WOW! Jesse understood Lana was coming from as far the guys she had dated in the passed. He wasn't going to push her to see him.and he was going to give her space to explore. He only had eyes for her. She was special to him. It was a wonderful story of romance and surprises!

O my word! I plowed through reading this book, Ryan and Zoe were so fun to read!! I just loved how cute they both were together and how shameless Ryan was when he was flirting with her in the beginning! My heart broke for Zoe with her background and I loved that Ryan kept chipping at her walls until she finally allowed him in.

This was one of my favorite quotes from the book:
"I didn’t quite understand what was happening between Zoe and me, but I knew that, whatever it was, it was worth pursuing. She was a part of my life and no matter what, she always would be. Because I was going to fight for her. One day, I’d give Zoe the happily ever after she deserved." - Ryan

Once again, loved the glimpses of the Hogan family and loved how they accepted Zoe with open arms. I really love how Kaye develops these stories! Even though each book focuses on a different hero/heroine, it still feels like you're watching/reading a family saga because the stories just flow together and there's no real time lapses! I've only read three of the books so far but I love how Kaye's epilogues don't start at the beginning of the next book. Most of the epilogues in a series start off from the very beginning of the next book but Kaye builds the anticipation by making you wait for the scene in the epilogue!

Kaye has done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series, so when this one was released, I knew I couldn't wait to read it. I actually stopped in the middle of another book so I could read this one. And read it, I did. In one day.

This story follows Jesse Hogan and Lana Murphy. Jesse is a newly-minted lieutenant with the FDNY, and Lana has sworn off firefighters. Needless to say, he brings her around, and they hit it off. I'm not going to give any more details than that, so you really need to read this one for yourself.

Kaye Kennedy has a very relaxed writing style that sucks you in and doesn't let go. Her style is very engaging, and doesn't insult your intelligence. (Yes, she uses the occasional big word and expects you to know what it means!) I've read other books that made me feel like a high schooler wrote them. Not Ms Kennedy!! For that, I like her books. Because the stories are engaging, I love her books. You will not regret purchasing this series, trust me.

All it took was one look and the spark was ignited. Lana and Jesse head to Jesse's. But when Lana left Jesse that first night it wasn't a happy ending for him.

The spark had already been lit, so when Jesse can't stop thinking about her, the perfect opportunity comes up so he can spend more time with her. Work security for her bar.

Jesse proves to Lana that she can trust him with her heart.

This love story builds slowly and the journey along the way makes you sad at times for Jesse but rooting for him that Lana will give him a chance. In the end their chemistry won over and they overcame some obstacles along the way.

I loved them together and enjoyed this story immensely.

Wow this was as good as the first book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This book was like the first in this series for me as a reader once I started reading I had trouble stopping it is that good.My only wish is for the books to have more about time on the job with more on actual firefighting but being a retired Volunteer Firefighter that is just my preference. Great story I loved it and thanks for the hard work to bring this story to life. Burning for this was such a great book.
I can't believe the storyline with Lana and Jesse.
These two characters were awesome with the whole fighting your feelings for one another .
It makes me think that maybe it was based in real life.

Seriously if you haven't read this book you need to. I laughed so hard it was awesome. I really enjoyed reading this book.

I love the setup of firemen as heroes. They are so underappreciated! But these characters are very, very young, more in behavior than age. They tend to fit more into the YA world than general romance.

The H and h both behave as if they are barely out of high school. Super disappointing. The plot is also quite YA, as it's about her bizarre issues around dating firemen.

I think Kaye Kennedy is a terrific writer, and has tons of potential. I just wish her characters were more mature and less YA.
