MY REVIEW
Within this book Kelly Elliott has given us a sweet syrupy almost toothache inducing story, i found it to be a little too sweet for my tastes, but if you love nothing more than a big 'ole sweet sticky piece of Texas pecan pie then you will love this book.
I did find myself liking Layton more than Whitley, she cried so much i just wanted to shake her.
Layton and Whitley were nice enough characters and their relationship nice to follow, they were surrounded by huge amounts of sweetness.
But that was the problem i needed a little more substance to the story, there was lot and lots and i mean LOTS of gushing exclamations of love throughout the dialogue. When the sex scenes did arise it was all 'i will love you forever' and 'i cannot live without you' on and on, what i really wanted was some dirty talk and some hard fu*king just to temper the sweetness out a bit.
The story line was good but it seemed to be lacking any depth to give it more than just lovey dovey cheesyness
Dont get me wrong if you want a easy read with not much drama in a book you may really like this story, but for me i need more of a range of feelings within a story than insta love and over whelming sweetness.

I'd downloaded this book last November, a year I've had this, but for some reason I hadn't read it, how that happened god only knows. All I have to say is thank goodness I found it because I'm totally hooked.
What a fabulous Author and a brilliant series so far, gosh I've only just finished Broken but don't you just know when it's all going to be so good.!
I loved the whole storyline, the way it's portrayed, the characters, everything, from the very beginning, Whitley and Courtney are great team there's never a dull moment they certainly keep you entertained, but having said that there's a lot of very sad moments especially with Layton and Mike and then when you realise Layton's on his own, ooh dear it's pretty heartbreaking, but it was so beautiful the way Whitley and Layton came together it was defiantly fate, they were made for each other, I honestly couldn't fault a thing about this story, I'm going straight onto Broken Dreams now, can't wait to read Courtney and Reeds story and I'm adding Kelly Elliott to my fav's.
If you love Melissa Foster and Jennifer Foor and all those types of Authors then you'll love this series..!!

Kelly Elliot it is official I just LOVE you and all your books!!

I get so excited whenever I hear one of your books is coming out and then I begin a countdown until release day hoping that this book will be as good as the last... and they always are (although Wanted will always have the most special place in my heart).

When I first started reading I was like Oh know :( this book is going to be a heartbreaker and although it obviously at times leaves you with a BROKEN heart (did you see what I did there..lol)it also makes your heart swell with love. That is one of Kelly's trade marks for me and why I will always love her writing, because she seriously knows how to write love!!

When I first met Whitley my heart broke and I felt some serious rage and hate towards Roger. When I read things about women being hit on it makes me so sad because they always end up thinking they are somehow responsible and Whitley was no different so when she makes her break for freedom you feel elated and hopeful for her.

Then you meet Layton and I have to be honest I may have shed one or two tears when I read his story. He is of course and gorgeous and strong cowboy but when you look closer you see how he is also so very broken. Being abandoned by the people you love whether it is there choice or not can leave you feeling unlovable and make you not ever want to take the leap of needing someone again. Layton is so determined not to allow anyone in so he cannot get hurt, that you worry he may lose what could be his one true love.

I loved this story and as always I loved the characters your meant to and despised the ones that deserved it.

If you have read any Kelly Elliot before and loved/liked/enjoyed then this is a must read! If yu haven't rad Kelly Elliot before then GO BUY HER BOOKS THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!

I read this book, and its not one that I would recommend to anyone or say its awesome, but its not a awful book either, im in the middle on it. I think there are some sweet characters and the story had potential, but at times it felt as if it was dragging out to long, as if stuff was shoved in there to drag it out and make the story longer. I also skimmed some bits because i was like wtf; thats unnecessary and going off in the other direction! I expected so much more from this book and it had the makings of what could have been very good.
I felt Whitley got over the violence and abuse far to quickly, esp after it going on for to long, and with in days she was falling for another guy! come on!! the whole text and being just friends didnt work for me, because they were over stepping that friends line, and as adults they knew it, then there was how he found out; the DR had coincidentally told someone about her abuse history just so they were aware: i mean come on THAT SO DOES NOT HAPPEN!! then he has spend years feeling guilty over his brother and with in days this girl after a day of her saying you have to let it go, he does and thats that!! there was a bit to much use of bad language that wasnt always needed. Too much of something can spoil it! there was some good humor which i did laugh at, but it lacked that build up towards them getting together and falling in love, it just didnt have that spark or bit of edge to it, the book wasnt gripping enough it didnt grasp me in. What happened to OLIVIA? she just disappears half way through the book. I think the scene where the ex reappears could have gone on a bit longer. I wont be buying the follow on book based on their friends. sorry

WOW...was what I said to myself after finishing Kelly's newest book Broken!!!!

I am a HUGE supporter of Kelly from her Wanted series to this series because I truly love everything that Kelly writes. Her style of writing is easy to follow, her character as so real and easy to relate to, and her stories give you many real life scenarios with every emotion to go along with those scenarios.

Whitley and Layton are both literally "broken". Whitley has been in an abusive situation which has left her physically and emotionally marked. Layton has suffered heart break at the deaths of his mother and brother...then his girlfriend leaves him for another man. Neither of them are interested in ever giving their hearts to another again. A chance meeting at the side of a road sparks feelings in both of them but both are denying these feelings...because they had only just met and both vowed to never open themselves up for heartache again.

A very emotional scene has Whitley promising she'll never leave Layton. They embark on a relationship and both feel healed and ready to let go of the past. Someone from Whitley's past has other ideas though. Lives are put in jeopardy and I think I actually held my breath while reading a particular scene!!!! You want to know what happens next???? Get this amazing book!!!

There are some other great characters....Court (Whitley's best friend) and Reed (Layton's best friend). I can't wait to get to know them more. Some questions were left unanswered but Kelly said all will be revealed in book #2!!!!!

This is a MUST read by the very talented Kelly Elliott!!!!!
