I kept reading and reading hoping this book would get better, but unfortunately it did not for me. The author might have been going for humor and perhaps for some it did come off as funny, but I had no internal or external laugh out loud moments. I felt no connection between Brody and Arden. Arden was immature, not very bright and made accusations against Brody based on an untrustworthy person's statements. She refused to tell Brody what he was being accused of, if what he was being accused of was true and treated him like a dirtbag insisting he tell her what he did wrong when he had no clue what she was talking about. Then before he could apologize for something he didn't even know what he would be apologizing for she decided she would give up her beloved grandparents house just to be with him.

If I were Brody I would have sent her packing in minutes. Almost everything she did or said had me thinking "really???". When Brody apologized at the end for some other valid misunderstanding, I asked him why he did that and told him to run for the hills. Lol, just kidding. Anyway, I decided at that point I didn't care and stopped reading at 96% in and went on to a better book that interested me. Others may like it, but Arden wasn't my kind of h.

...when I saw that my Sabrina Stark pre-order had downloaded to my Kindle. Usually I gulp her books down in a single read-a-thon, but I told myself that this time I'd have more discipline and make it last a little longer. Ha! That lasted for about three chapters before I made coffee, and now I'm baggy-eyed but totally happy with Ms. Stark's latest gem. Arden and Brody are a powder keg of chemistry and miscommunications in equal measures, and boy does this lead to a volatile match. The his-and-her perspectives are amazingly well-done and add a lot to the story that you'd miss with a single-narration perspective. This is simply one of the best enemies-to-lovers romances that I've read recently. It's not totally accurate to say it's slow burn because BOOM is fast-paced and has a lot happening because there are mountains of misunderstandings between Arden and Brody, detailed by many other reviews. Lucky us, we get to fall in love with both of them as they sort through all of that delicious baggage. A spunky heroine, a hunky hero, drama and quick wit in equal measures -- this is Sabrina Stark at her very best. Once again I chomped through her book too fast, but I'll be watching for her next offering every day. Please hurry!

I am a big fan of Sabrina Stark and all of her books. I wasn't sure she could top the books about all of the Bishop family but this comes really close. She has such a phenomenal way of a story. Telling both sides in such a way that adds so much to the adventure. This is the story of Arden and Brody - they knew each other is high school and to say their relationship was rocky is putting it mildly. Fast forward to current time and they've run into each other again. This time, Arden is back in her home town, after graduating from college, with the hopes to reclaim her grandparents home that was left to her and her cousin after their death. As she soon learns, her cousin has been cheating her out of money (for home repairs and payments) and he has sold it out from under her. As it turns out, Brody has purchased it - he and his brothers are local boys who have made it big...they started a tool business from the ground up and have turned it into an empire that includes a TV home-renovation show. And they are planning to renovate her childhood home for their TV show. At this point - the sparks are flying. The TV producers see the chemistry between them and offer Arden a job on the show. If you have read any of Sabrina's previous books - you will not be disappointed....if you haven't read anything, this is a great place to start. Be aware - once you start her stories, you will not want to stop.

This light hearted rom-com will have you in stitches!
High school lab partners who were anything but friends. Each had misunderstood the other’s family position. Now he’s a wealthy businessman, with a home renovation TV show, and she’s a recent college grad without a job. The only thing that they have in common is her grandparents home that he has bought from her cousin. Add in a jealous, witchy TV producer and lots of miscommunication...or no communication...and you have a recipe for a story that will keep you invested to the end. Highly recommend this book.

Childhood to adulthood...they were opposites. Arden was naive for someone who had a plan in life. Brody was focused and family oriented, and together, it was boom!
My only negative, too much repetition on things. Overall I enjoyed, just wished for more romance as well as clarification on some things.

Arden and the boy responsible for making her college life more difficult than it needed to be, Broderick Blastoviak, AKA Brody Blast, reconnect when she returns to the last home she knew before college.
This enemies to lovers story has some really entertaining moments, despite the typos.

All the feels. Loved this book. It was funny and sweet, sad and heartfelt. Told from both MC POVs. No cliffhanger and we get an HEA. Summary covers storyline so don't repeat. I loved both MC characters, both when they are getting along and and when verbally battling it out. Really enjoyed this quick read.
