It’s good to intersperse modern and regency and I love both as long as they are well written.
If you tend towards prim or prudish you may want to think twice before starting to read. Take a deep breath ... you’ll be fine. MFor those who love a smart, sassy, gorgeous girl who is prepared to battle with, and enjoy, a phwoah hunk then start reading asap.
I love that the chapters alternate between the two leads, the text messages and especially the conversations. This is how people speak.
Oooh yummy. Add to all this the extra freebie story. 😎😎
p.s. best enjoyed with a large glass of wine or two and a fan or hanky to cool you.

All right, this is going to sound like a lie, but this is my first write review EVER.
And damn, I am soooo happy I waited for this long to do it.

Because, maaaaaaan..... WHAT A BOOK. WHAT A SERIES.

How am I suppose to get back to REAL LIFE DATING after those 4 books??????

And don't get me wrong, I read like 5 books per week. I won't say I am an expert in those new romance/adult romance books, but let's be honest, with at least 5 books in 7 days, I had the time over the years to know when a book is good and when it isn't.

Well, you guessed, this series is definetely GOOD.

Buy them, read them, thank me later.

J’ai trouvé que c’était une bonne romance, et même si la trame du récit est simple, l’histoire est passionnante et émouvante par l’écriture. Une fois commencée avec les deux personnages de Skye et Cole, je n’ai pas lâché l’histoire.
L’histoire pose la relation entre Skye qui devrait détester Cole, celui qui va lui faire perdre son emploi, mais leur rencontre auparavant anonyme fait que leur relation est beaucoup plus complexe ar une forte attraction subsiste

Vous vous souvenez de ce film "vous avez un message" avec Meg Ryan et Tom Hanks?
Et bien ce livre m'y a beaucoup fait penser. Skye a une petite librairie de quartier et essaye de faire survivre son affaire quand un gros développeur essaye d'y implanter un hôtel.
Les personnages sont sincères, avec des émotions crédibles. L'histoire est intrigante grâce à ses personnages principaux mais aussi secondaires. Cole est directement impliqué dans leur histoire et Skye a besoin de plus de persuasion. J'ai bien aimé que pour une fois le personnage masculin soit plus impliqué. Une fois encore Olivia Hayle utilise des romances stéréotypées mais le fait en jouant avec ces stéréotypes. Certains se voient clairement modifiés et abandonnés.
Dommage cependant, que sur la fin du livre, elle fasse comme toutes les romancières du genre une fin abrupte et à fond dans le stéréotype le plus basique! Et s'il y avait d'autres options au bonheur d'un couple? et si les livres de ce genre proposaient ces variations pour être plus crédibles?

I would definitely recommend this series, I've read book 1 and 2 of the Seattle Billionaires series and thoroughly enjoyed both.

I did notice some inconsistencies with both books which is a little disappointing/distracting.

The inconsistencies I noticed, in this book (1): Cole surmises that Timmy in 10 years old, Timmy confirms his age to be 8 years old, because he says he's almost turning 9. Later when Skye is thinking about her nephew (Timmy), she refers to him as a 10 years old. This all occurs during a 2 month time span.

In the other book (2): Blair notes Cole pouring Nick a brandy, then in the same scene she refers to Nick taking a sip of his whisky. Two completely different spirits.

Don't get me wrong these oversights are not deal breakers, the characters and their stories are great, but I don't know how these things slip through unnoticed prior to been published.

Takes you into another world, one of great wealth, where nothing is impossible.
One draw back for me in novels like this, the main male characters are always so young. All seem to be under 40 and yet have so much! Experience of work as well!
loved the story line, loved the banter and sense of humour especially, though I thought the ending was very similar to 50 Shades of Grey.

This book describes the struggles of independent shops, it effect on the community and how two women took on the mighty big company. This novel like all this authors other books, I think is written well. The sexual scenes are especially tingly. Well with 4 stars.

You’ve got Mail without the glaringly terrible secret at it’s core

Full disclosure - I am an Olivia Hayle fan.

This is You’ve got Mail (billionaire wants to tear down a family run bookstore to make a hotel) without the central problematic lie which still annoys me to this day (Skye knows exactly who Cole is). They have a one night stand at the start and then they discover who each other is.

I love the banter in this book. Although it is touted as enemies to lovers, I never got enemies. There was not enough fire and so much underlying flirting to the banter - it was clear that they were never going to hate each other.

I loved them both but I appreciated Skye’s ambition and drive - she was such a wonderful heroine.

Sexy, funny, charming and full of good vibes - the perfect Sunday pick me up treat. I will be picking up the next in the series

Site and Cole are complete opposites. He is a billionaire developer who is determined to rip down her hopes and dreams, she is the want to be writer/author who works in a book shop.

However for one night they were close and spent a magical night together.

Can she forgive him for wanting to destroy her childhood sanctuary and can he get over past hurt and betrayal to let her are the real Cole?

This book has strong characters and was difficult to put down

Skye decides that she needs to go people watching to get inspiration for the book she is trying to write and in doing so catches the attention of one very dishy male when she goes to a upmarket bar. Little does she know that Cole owns the bar and after an enjoyable evening talking the offer of going to his room is accepted. She leaves before he wakes and Cole cant get her out of his mind until he finds out that the beautiful Skye works at the bookshop he wants to tear down. Its nicely written and I liked that Cole was constantly wanting her and she had no idea.
