I’m not sure what people liked about this book. It was difficult to get through. Word for word, I couldn’t do it. I tried, and for a while I was determined, but I just couldn’t do it. Instead I found myself skimming through it from about 70% all the way to the end, and it ended exactly how I thought it would. Besides the grammatical errors, the writing style was choppy and had no feeling in it. There was also too much meaningless dialect and it was full of pointless step by step character movements. It felt like I was reading a first or second draft rather than a final product. The idea of the storyline was decent and had potential, but every single character fell flat, especially Danielle. I actually hated her. She had no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and that sucks for a main character.

Levi Finlay is best friend’s with Nick who has been abusing his relationship with a really great woman but Levi can’t tell her b/c his loyalty belongs to Nick. Right? Danielle wants things to go back to the way they were when she and Nick first got together and before he started working on Wall Street. Every time Nick and Danielle have a blow up, Nick calls Levi in to “fix” things. Over time he becomes attracted to her or have his feelings been there longer? What does Nick do when he senses there is a change in Danielle’s relationship with Levi?
Oh my, I loved this book. When she realizes the good thing she has in Levi, things get very interesting and steamy. So much happens and Nick is a big part of the bad that happens. It gets really dicey when Danielle finds out that Levi knew all about Nick’s philandering. She has decisions to make. Simply loved Levi’s declaration to Danielle at the end of chapter 20 and into 21. Just when things appear to become stable in their relationship, another shoe drops and this happens to be a really big one. This poor couple go through quite a bit of angst before they get to their HEA. There are so many pointers I would love to share but I want the reader to see for themselves. This is one great read!
I volunteered to review this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended. I give it 4.5 steamy stars!

This story will look at how complicated things can get in a relationship! Danielle and Nick have been in a long-time relationship and apparently Nick is taking their relationship for granted, fooling around on Dani. When she catches him with another woman, Dani goes to his best friend, Levi, for help. They are attracted to each other and eventually give in to their feelings.

In the meantime, Nick wants Dani back and starts some bizarre behavior to force her to come “home”. He gets more and more obsessed with her. Will Levi be able to keep her safe? How will they stop Nick from his dangerous behavior?

This author does a good job in allowing the reader to see the true situation and how Nick has always manipulated things to his advantage. He is possessive, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he loves … he just wants what he perceives as his and that is not a good or healthy relationship. This story line will definitely make you think about things. Grab your copy and find out how Dani will resolve this tangle. Will she make the right choice for the right reasons?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I will use my Kindle Unlimited to enjoy this series in my "read-again" titles.

It started good but almost took a turn when it added too much. The bad guy suddenly goes away and they have a new "problem"... it just felt like maybe it needed to end once they got rid of the ex. The hero's friend Mia was thrown in there and then disappeared just as quickly. Seems they only wanted to introduce her so her story could be next. Overall not great but an OK read

Cute story it had laughter, suspense, drama and romance. Some of the things that bothered me is that things weren’t consistent. The cat Mandela was referred to as female and male. Some scenes said Dani had dark hair others said she’s a blonde. Another part that’s coming from Levi’s point of view during the ultrasound he says his belly not hers. Otherwise it was cute

Levi has always had feelings for Dani but his best got to her first. Nick isn't a good guy and treats her like trash. Levi is there as a friend, but soon Dani finds out the truth about Nick and things change between her and Levi. True love will always find a way and what is meant to be will be. Love prevails and has the happiest of endings. This is a great book and I have enjoyed the whole series.

Nice story with only a few errors that make you pause and go "What?". The characters are real and well rounded. The plot is believable and flows well. The only thing that annoys me is the stupid 'bro code' - that I'll never understand. Bit of a tear jerker at the end but good read none the lesa.
