Wow! Okay so firstly I want to thank Ms Landish for this story it was a take on the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast.
It had everything Mystery, Suspense, Darkness or Dark themes and lots of steam/love.
This was a solid read also heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
I loved how Ms Landish wove this story, even though it had some dark themes. It was a book I just couldn’t put down as I needed to know what was going to happen and how it was going to end. I can’t wait to read Izzy’s story next.

Please be warned as it also makes mention of suicide, abuse both physical and verbal. If these are triggers for you then you probably want to proceed with caution or not read it.

Thomas Goldstone the billionaire with a dark side and bad childhood. Mia Karakova the nerd data analyst that works for Goldstone and has an office in the basement of the building.
Their meeting was a set up but their attraction was instantaneous. Thomas was struggling with his own demon but Mia was his light and the love of his life.
This story is very interesting and intriguing at the same time. The plot is well written and the characters are well represented.
Just like in all fairy tale stories… and they lived happily ever after.

Dem Adjektiv "dirty" macht das Buch Dank einer Überfülle von Sex-Szenen alle Ehre, diese können allerdings nicht verhindern, dass man sich phasenweise zu Tode langweilt. Die Charaktere sind zwar in Ordnung - insbesondere die weibliche Protagonistin ist liebenswert - die Handlung, insbesondere der Spannungsbogen eine Katastrophe. Es endet übrigens mit einem Cliffhanger... und zwischen Anfang und Ende passiert eben leider nicht viel.

Ich fasse zusammen: jede Menge Friede-Freude-Eierkuchen, anschaulicher Sex und eine Intrige, die der Rede nicht wert ist.

The book was a great read. It really was well written and did a great job steering you in the wrong direction. Some great surprises. Mia and Tommy make a great pair.

Everyone seemed to love this book, so I thought I would enjoy it too. I did like the heroine when she was on her own. She was quirky and she owned her eccentricities which I enjoyed. I didn't like the hero, he didn't seem realistic to me at all. I get that he was driven by inner demons but he was annoying. When the heroine was with him, I found I didn't like her much either. She seemed more on the ball then to get stuck with him. The villains were also too sharply drawn to be believable. I got half way through this book and I couldn't finish it. I found it a relief to put it down. They were both so annoying together the thought of reading another half story about them seemed like a waste of time where I could be reading something more enjoyable. I rarely ever not finish a book. I'm usually too optimistic it will turn around, but I got to the point I didn't care if Thomas lost his company or not, the villain won or not, and I thought Mia had lost her mind to get involved with him at all, that I just called it quits. I hope it got better in the second half for all the rave reviews for this book, I just couldn't make myself get that far.

Mia works for Goldstone Inc., in the basement in data analysis and market trends. It's lonely down there, but it's where she does her best work. Mia is smart and capable and has just been assigned to a team that will ultimately answer to Goldstone's CEO, Thomas Goldstone. When it comes to business, Thomas is arrogant, controlling and ruthless. He's a strong, confident CEO, but it was his past that made him vulnerable. Still, he's all business, all of the time. But after seeing Mia, all his attention is now focused on her. Mia makes him vulnerable and for the first time in his life he wants to be a better man, for Mia. Instant chemistry and undeniable attraction leads to intense, all-consuming sex. Soon feelings and emotions take over and for once in Thomas' life, he feels complete and Mia is happy and looking forward to their future. But in the background lurks a man intent on destroying Goldstone and his company.
This is not the type of book you start and put down only to finish another day. There's just too much going on and I needed answers ASAP ! ! !

This book just totally captivated me, so well written with a beautiful story. I’ve read several, if not all, books written by Lauren Landish, but this one just topped them all. It had angst, psychological abuse, mystery, lust, and love. The love between Thomas and Mia, was the catalyst that saved Thomas from all of his years of mental/psychological abuse from his dad. Mia was the soothing balm that helped Thomas resolve most of his problems. Along with the love between the main characters, I loved all the external situations that happened in this book. Overcoming all the situations and achieving their HEA was the perfect end to this story. I will always read any book written by Ms Landish and I’m looking forward to the story of Isabel and Raphael.

I really should have read the 1 and 2 star reviews before I bought this. I guess I just really liked the premise of the book. As the other reviewers who couldn't finish the book stated, it was just a drag to read. The author spent way to much time trying make the side characters interesting....they weren't. There was next to no character development for the two main characters.....you know, the ones the story was suppose to be about. The internal conflict of tje hero made him seem whiney and the heroine was just all over the place. I didn't really care about either of them. It was just an all around miss. I've never read this author before and probably won't again. I hate that I spent money this since I didn't finish it and won't. Lesson learned..I will go back to making sure I read why the people who dislike a book don't like it.
